Summer Internship Experience: This summer, I worked at Wellmark Blue Cross & Blue Shield as the Health Services Operations and Systems Intern. My team consisted of both clinical and technical professionals who worked together to implement system automation, configuration, and business validation initiatives across all areas of the business. Along with the other interns, I also got the opportunity to shadow and network within different areas of the business and volunteer in the Des Moines community. Thanks to the guidance from my mentor and leader, I learned a lot about Wellmark, health insurance, and was even able to mentor my own high school intern!
