Summer Internship Experience: Interned at American Equity Eagle Life as an Annuity Lifecycle Intern. I worked in a rotation of four departments – Product, Pricing, and Competitive Intelligence, Sales and Marketing, Compliance and Legal, and Customer Excellence – all of which took place at both American Equity offices in West Des Moines, Iowa. I learned how the annuity industry worked in each department and created projects during each rotation incorporating what we were learning at the time. The internship ended with a project my coworker Belle Duffy and I presented for forty minutes to our mentors about what we had learned throughout the summer.
