Summer Internship Experience: This summer, I had the privilege of interning with UFG Insurance in Cedar Rapids, Iowa as part of their Insure Your Future rotational program. Each year, UFG welcomes three interns to gain experience across claims, underwriting, and internal audit, offering a well-rounded look at the insurance industry.

During my rotations, I built my professional network through job shadows and developed key skills through projects such as an investor day presentation, claims data analysis, SOX audit testing, and a summer recap presentation. These experiences gave me meaningful, hands-on exposure to the industry and confirmed my excitement for a career in finance and risk management.

I’m very grateful for the mentors and colleagues who guided me throughout the program—and honored to have been awarded an Insure Your Future scholarship to cap off an incredible summer of growth.
