Anna McCarty

Anna McCarty is a fourth-year Tippie student from Waukee, Iowa, triple majoring in Finance, Business Analytics & Information Systems, and Risk Management & Insurance. Her involvement on campus includes Delta Sigma Pi, a business fraternity that focuses on service and professional growth, and Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity, the largest women’s fraternal organization in the world, which emphasizes academic excellence, career and personal development, and personal integrity.

The insurance industry is of interest to Anna because both her parents are in the field, and she learned at a young age how it helps people address the uncertainties of life. Anna’s most recent internship at Principal allowed her to witness firsthand how connecting people and institutions to insurance and other risk management solutions helps them not only achieve their financial goals but provide peace of mind and long-term security. She looks forward to continuing her studies in the Vaughan Institute.
