Alexa Berryman

Alexa Berryman is a junior at the University of Iowa majoring in Actuarial Science, minoring in Mathematics, and earning a certificate in Risk Management and Insurance. Having passed SOA Exam FM, she pairs professional exam progress with practical technical leadership.

Last summer, Alexa worked as an actuarial intern at Transamerica in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and participated in the Insure Your Future Program. At Iowa, she is an ICRU (Iowa Center for Research by Undergraduates) Fellow studying game theory applications in insurance premiums, an active member of the Actuarial Science Club, and a participant in intramural sports.

Following her graduation in May 2028, Alexa plans to pursue a career as a credentialed actuary, with long-term goals of working in the insurance industry and raising a family in Iowa.
